Evan has created an incredibly useful, important, and well-formatted course with enough malleability to adjust to the needs of both the group and individual participants.

ARE YOU CONCERNED ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE AND ITS IMPACT ON BOTH YOUR COMMUNITY AND ALL LIFE ON THE PLANET?

DO YOU ENJOY SCIENCE FICTION AND/OR FANTASY?

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN WORKING TOWARDS SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGE?

We all know that climate change is one the largest threats facing humanity today. Yet, even considering this truth, often as an existentially perceived threat, it remains difficult to talk about. Many feel, subconsciously and consciously, that our day to day lives aren’t as obviously affected by climate change as they are other factors such as COVID-19, or numerous other urgent issues. It’s important that we continue to foreground climate change in our discussions about social change, moving it further in from the margins as a reality that should be contextualizing all other issues we face today.

Apply today if you’d like to collaborate with others in a process of building speculative climate futurisms through the lens of science fiction!

Maybe it’s time to recognize that at the heart of our work is the need for those around us to be able to imagine a better world, to tell stories about it, to long for its realization. If we can imagine it, desire it, dream about it, it is so much more likely that we will put our energy and determination into making it reality.” – Rob Hopkins, From What Is to What If

Without leaps of imagination, or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning.” – Gloria Steinem
